There's
nothing like starting your morning with 2 good things....donuts and
the beach! :) That's what we did. It's hard to stay in your room
when the ocean is only 2.5 blocks from you. We were told by Julie
and Stephan (Joseph's brother and his beautiful pregnant wife) that
Ocean Beach Donuts have the best donuts, and we'd agree. We spent
some time exploring the tidal pools finding crabs, sea anemones, and
sea slugs. Later Joseph, Joshua and Stephan decided to don their wet
suits and try some waves body boarding. Isaiah, Samuel and Abigail
were brave enough to go in the water today, it's chilly here, only
around 15 degrees with lots of wind. Later in the afternoon the rain
moved in, so we all cozied in the beach house and watched some TV.
For supper we headed over to Julie and Stephan's for supper and were
treated to a wonderful meal of filet mignon and grilled veggies. It
was sooo good eating a home cooked meal. Thanks guys. What a
blessing to get a second dose of family, our West coast family.
Tomorrow we look forward to doing some more exploring with Ian,
Solomon and Hatteras. Thank you again Lord for family.

We watched my older brother Ian set up for the Surf Camp he helps run... |
 |
Stephen and Julie are eagerly expecting their "Caleb" any day, any hour, or any minute... |
 |
as we entered the house we were greeted with chef Stephen seering things and smiling all the way |
 |
Stephen also let the boys into his "Flying Fish" workshop, and as you can see everyone was glued |
 |
The night ended with a living room R/C car race, and a number of requests to "stay late" |
That meal looks delicious (and it's making me hungry)! :)
ReplyDeleteMmmmm Donuts that sounds like a really good idea and on the beach even better. Now I want a donut. Guess I will have to wait. Continue to be blessed.
